AI Adobe Madness

Adobe’s Vice president of Generative AI, Alexandru Costin has been pushing the AI integration heavy. Adobe has always been on top of the industry for new technology features.

Alexandru Costin said in Adobe Max 2024 “we’re embracing the technology, we’re putting it in our tools, and we’re asking you and hoping you use it, because you can be very successful in this new world [if you] use the tech. If you don’t use the tech, you won’t compete with other creatives that use the tech.”

It would seem that the reason they’re leaning so heavy into AI is because they want to stay ahead of the industry. Since every the trends are moving towards a AI future they are jumping out in front.

A.I Is Being Over Hated

AI has cause heated discourse all over the internet. From the graphic design side of things the general persecution is mostly negative. While I understand the concerns of having AI tools. I think the hate is way overblown. I am here to help bring a better light on AI and hopefully it can convince you on the idea of having AI.

It is a tool used by humans

AI is a tool created to help you at the end of the day. If you use it as such it can help you tremendously. You shouldn’t type in a prompt and boom hit complete. As said best in the article by allwork titled Has AI Killed Graphic Design Jobs? “Integrating AI into the design process should enhance efficiency, broaden participation, and open new creative horizons — rather than rendering the field obsolete”. I think with this way of thinking it can be used to it’s fullest potential.
